With the recent financial meltdown, tourism is suffering across the United States. The popular American tourist city of Las Vegas, Nevada has been hit hard by high ranking government employees that labelled the city as extravagant.

Las Vegas has been combatting these hard times by providing sales for hotel room rates and airfare. Although travel has decreased, continuing combined efforts by flight providers and the hotels have resulted in a noticeable difference in increased bookings.

Many hotels are offering promotional deals which include deep discounts on food, beverages, and entertainment in addition to discounted hotel room rates. Browsing through the many promotional offers available on the internet, I found some excellent promos including upgraded rooms and suites with packages for top shows such as Defending The Caveman, Lance Burton, and Zumanity, deals for valuable discounts for top notch restaurants, and complimentary drinks at chic night clubs. However, I have learned that the best deals are available as flight and hotel package deals.

I recently talked with some Las Vegas travel professionals that told me that rates are the lowest that they have seen in ages. One webmaster whom spoke off the record said that despite the fact that bookings were lower, the people that are going to Las Vegas are obtaining great deals that have not been realized in some time! He pointed to the all day buffet specials that are being run at Excalibur, The Orleans, and MGM Grand. For between twenty dollars to thirty dollars, a hungry tourist can eat all day long! This is an incredible bargain!

One of the experts that I contacted is a helpful gentleman that goes by the name “MikeyMike” and provides Las Vegas promo codes in lists on sites such as OpenVegas.Com and CasinoTripReports.Com and often assists tourists find the best overall deal. MikeyMike told me that the trip costs have dropped dramatically over the past several months.
