When it comes to choosing a car type for limousines and chauffeured car services, companies overwhelmingly prefer the Town Car. And that’s why, limousine companies were panicking two years ago when Ford talked about shutting down production of their Town Car division. But thanks to the combined lobby of many transportation interests, that never happened, and Ford moved production of their Lincoln Town car to Canada.

What makes the Lincoln town car so overwhelmingly popular? The car is well built, with large exterior and interior dimensions. It has comfortable leather seats, and very good suspension, which makes for a smooth ride. The town car’s strengths and weaknesses are well described by consumer experts. Consumer Guide praises the car’s comfort, it’s material makeup, and ride quality, while criticizing the the acceleration and the handing of the vehicle. But slow acceleration is not likely to be a concern for passengers preferring a smooth safe ride. And even if there is some problem with the handling, overall, the Town Car is one of the safest cars in North America.

According to Tlencani of Pyramids Limo, passengers riding in a Town car almost always sit in the back. The roomy back seat can fit three persons comfortably, and a fourth person could sit in the front seat if needed. The car has plenty of room for baggage, and this makes it a favorite for airport transportation. The town car is very versatile, however, and can be used for weddings events, sport events night out and charters. It usually comes in a sedate black color, and is also available in silver for those who request it.

Tlencani , who runs a Denver limousine service, as well as an Denver airport transportation service, uses the Town car for all assignments, unless his customers request one of his other limo types.
